In this year’s market analysis, gvpraxis has named Klüh Catering as the leading contract caterer in the Heath Care segment for the eleventh time in a row. In addition, according to the trade magazine for professional communal catering, the company ranks fourth on the catering market as a whole.
In the area of clinics and hospitals, the catering division of the multi-service provider Klüh achieved sales of EUR 146 million in 2023 with around 5,000 employees. On the business market, Klüh grew by 30 per cent and generated almost 82 million euros. Overall, Klüh was able to increase its sales to 262.4 million euros (plus 4.4 per cent).
A key focus in 2023 was on pushing ahead with digital and smart solutions as well as new products and concepts in the area of sustainability. Alternative menus, regional ingredients, resource savings and animal welfare increasingly gained in importance here. New concepts such as We love green and the AI-based waste management system played a decisive role in gaining new customers. With a total of 236 contracts, Klüh raised its number of guests by 8 per cent to 47,295. The sales forecast for 2024 stands at 280 million euros.
