Klüh Cleaning awarded the EcoVadis silver medal

Klüh Cleaning has been awarded the silver medal by EcoVadis, an independent provider of sustainability ratings. With this certification, the subsidiary of the multinational service provider Klüh meets the requirements for sustainable corporate management and provides its customers, suppliers, partners and employees with orientation through a recognised label.

Daniel Carnol, Managing Director of Klüh Cleaning: “The silver medal from EcoVadis provides us with valuable confirmation of our sustainability strategy. It shows that we have already achieved a great deal – at the same time, it motivates us to go on optimising our processes and consistently extend our commitment to a sustainable and transparent supply chain.”

In the course of the assessment, EcoVadis examined Klüh Cleaning’s sustainability management in the areas of environment, employment and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In all four assessment areas, the company was rated significantly above average in a sector comparison of building cleaners. Particularly in the areas of environment, employment and human rights, Klüh Cleaning achieved outstanding results. In their appraisal, EcoVadis especially commended the company’s advanced environmental management system, which enables the precise recording and control of relevant sustainability indicators. On balance, the Cleaning division of the multi-service provider Klüh is among the top 15 per cent of all companies validated by EcoVadis this year.

Klüh Cleaning convinces with particularly sustainable cleaning solutions across the entire value chain. This includes the use of water-saving cleaning devices, environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals and work clothes made of recycled material. Resource-saving processes which are individually tailored to the customer’s needs, which can be quantified, documented and are always transparent, also help to reduce emissions and improve the customer’s environmental footprint. This is possible thanks to the digital cleaning concept EcoServ, which flexibly records additional requirements and enters them in real time into a dynamic runsheet that guides the cleaning staff through the premises on a tablet they carry with them. What’s more, the service also uses IoT-technology, sensors and smart buttons to optimise the cleaning processes.
