Klüh hosts a birthday dinner with employees at the Böhler site
Entrepreneur Josef Klüh celebrated his "80th" this year, and his company Klüh Service Management celebrated a "Rhenish anniversary": 111 years of existence. Last Friday (23/09), the Düsseldorf-based group celebrated a double anniversary with employees from all over the world in the cold steel hall at the Böhler site. Very early in his career, the young, 20-year-old Josef Klüh took over the business that had been founded by his father, who had been killed in Russia, and counted the Böhler Werke as one of his first major customers.
The entrepreneur celebrated his birthday in Dubai in January, but the big party in Düsseldorf was cancelled owing to Covid-19; so we’ve now made up for that as part of the celebrations of the company anniversary. Two big occasions, one long guest list: Employees from all departments, from the managing director to the long-term employees, were invited from all over Germany and Dubai, Poland, the Netherlands and Turkey. Joining the “birthday boy” Josef Klüh and his wife Ahlem Sehili-Klüh, were also friends and associates, and all 600 guests were served a delicious dinner comprising several exquisite courses.
The guests included members of the advisory board Hans-Joachim Driessen, Dr. Hans-Joachim Körber and Andreas Schmitz, and the “Klüh Stiftung zur Förderung der Innovation in Wissenschaft und Forschung” (Klüh Foundation for the Promotion of Innovation in Science and Research) Dr. Karl Hans Arnold, Werner M. Dornscheidt, Joachim Hunold, Dr. Alfons Labisch, Klaus-Peter Müller, Dr. Volker Schratzlseer,Prof. Coordt von Mannstein and Roger and Yasmin Klüh, the son and daughter the owner.
The evening of entertainment was presented by host Janine Utsch, and clearly demonstrated that a company with a tradition going back 111 years was in no way stuck in the past. "Fresh Music Live", one of the most internationally sought-after live bands with a funk sound, and DJ AXLNT provided first-class entertainment.
