The social holding company of the city of Mönchengladbach has commissioned the Cleaning division of the multi-service provider Klüh with various cleaning services. The contract with the municipal service provider in the areas of social services, health, education and employment promotion, is due to start in September 2022 and will run for four years with two options to extend for a further 12 months each time.
“Klüh’s performance promise and attractive pricing were decisive factors for us when awarding the contract. We were also especially convinced by Klüh Cleaning’s sound quality assurance concept, which helps us achieve our sustainability goals”, explains Thomas Werkmeister, head of the housekeeping, purchasing and technology department at Sozial-Holding der Stadt Mönchengladbach GmbH.
The services provided by the roughly 40 Klüh employees include the maintenance and glass cleaning of seven old people’s homes at six locations, the central kitchen and the administration of the social holding company in Mönchengladbach. In the cleaning process, Klüh deploys machines and equipment that are energy-efficient in operation, provide measurable time savings, are highly recyclable and produce little noise. For the glass cleaning, a special osmosis process is also used for the treatment of water. This is demineralised by a filter and is then able to bind dirt without the addition of cleaning chemicals. Moreover, the re-soiling of the glass surfaces is significantly reduced.
In order to implement sustainable standards in a systematic and structured manner, Klüh works with integrated management systems in the areas of quality, environmental and energy management. These provide the customer with precise proof of sustainability throughout the entire cleaning process. Specifically, this makes it possible to calculate the carbon footprint created over the use phase of the equipment deployed.
