Klüh Security receives the Comenius Award for the eighth time in a row

Klüh Security has been presented the prestigious Comenius EduMedia Award from the Gesellschaft für Pädagogik, Information und Medien e. V. (Society for Education, Information and Media - GPI) for the eighth time in a row. The security division of the multi-service provider Klüh received two awards in the category “Vocational Training and Development”. The two digital learning programmes “General Equal Treatment Act” and “Annual proof of proficiency with firearms” were selected.

“We are extremely proud of this further recognition, which underlines our ongoing efforts to provide innovative and high-quality training for our employees. I would like to thank the team behind our e-learning programme on behalf of the entire management team”, says Klüh Security’s Managing Director Dr. Marc Bieling.

Klüh Security trains its employees itself in seminars and workshops run by the company’s own academy and security school. The new Rheinische Akademie für Sicherheit und Wirtschaft GmbH (RASW) also offers a comprehensive range of training courses for basic and advanced topics in the security industry covering aviation security, hazardous materials and personal protection, which is aimed at all security companies wishing to qualify their personnel accordingly. Here, the “DigiLearn” web- and computer-based learning management system provides an innovative and modern supplement to traditional classroom teaching.

The “Comenius EduMedia Seal” is awarded after a thorough examination by the GPI expert jury of academics and professional and educational practitioners from ten countries worldwide. The organisation has awarded the seal annually since 1995 in recognition of outstanding digital educational media for work, training, school, culture and leisure. Award-winning digital educational media have to be designed and implemented according to pedagogical, didactic, aesthetic and technical criteria. This year, approximately 200 manufacturers, publishers, projects and authors from eight European countries submitted digital educational products for a manufacturer-neutral quality check.

The Comenius EduMedia Award originated with the educator Johann Amos Comenius (1592-1670). Comenius was a pioneer of a popular and child-oriented education, and he propagated the systematic use of pictures and vividness for didactic purposes.
